In loving Memory Of Sir William April 11, 2008

Where in the entire world is nobility found without conceit? Where is there friendship without envy? Where is beauty without vanity? Here one finds gracefulness coupled with power, and strength tempered with gentleness. A constant servant, yet no slave. a fighter, ever without hostility. Our history was written on his back. We are his heirs. But he is his own heritage,

Sir William and mom.

Sir William started his life in Lakeside California at Somewhere Farms; born with an infection and inability to nurse as a foal his first few days in this world were a bit challenging.  He was admitted to the Helen Woodward’s San Diego County Equine Hospital to be fed intravenously. With his mom there with him for continued support, and hope for a good recovery he became quite popular.
I guess one could say he was a little bit spoiled from all the attention he received, of course well deserved. In addition to being posted on the cover of Champion magazine, he became a star with his own fan club, with so many get well wishers the hospital had to limit visitors. Sir William made a full recovery and moved on to being shown as a stallion foal at various shows. As a two year old   became one of those all famous Anheuser Busch Clydesdales, during his residence there he acquired extreme knowledge regarding his job being a hitch horse. With his calm deposition stature, 18.2 hands and 2000 pounds. To this day Sir William is still a famous star; we are honored to have this magnificent Clydesdale as a member of our family residing here at Baltic Hills Farm. Be confident in adding this distinguished guest to your invitation list. He will definitely engrave a forever memory in the hearts and minds of all as he leads the way at your special event. His response card will be promptly retuned with a special request; carrots please, and hold the glaze sauce.
